The Wolverine comic book series is a popular superhero comic book series published by Marvel Comics. It follows the adventures of the character Wolverine, a mutant with the ability to regenerate his cells and extend razor-sharp claws from his knuckles. The character was created by writer Len Wein and artist John Romita Sr. and first appeared in the comic book “The Incredible Hulk” #180 in 1974.

Wolverine quickly became a popular character and was given his own solo series in 1988, which continued for over 300 issues. The series has been written by a number of high-profile writers, including Chris Claremont, Frank Miller, and Jason Aaron, and has featured artwork by renowned artists such as John Byrne, Jim Lee, and Steve McNiven.

The series explores Wolverine’s past as a member of the secretive Weapon X program, his struggle with his animalistic tendencies, and his relationships with other X-Men characters such as Professor X, Cyclops, and Jean Grey. The series has been adapted into numerous animated series, video games, and live-action films, with the character portrayed by Hugh Jackman in the popular X-Men film series.
