The DeLorean is a sports car produced by the DeLorean Motor Company from 1981 to 1983. The car is perhaps best known for its appearance in the popular movie “Back to the Future,” in which it was famously used as a time machine. The DeLorean features distinctive gull-wing doors and a stainless steel body, as well as a rear-mounted engine and rear-wheel drive. Despite its unique design and association with the movie franchise, the DeLorean was not a commercial success and the company eventually went bankrupt. However, the car remains popular among enthusiasts and collectors today, and a number of companies offer replica versions of the iconic vehicle.
