“Blackadder II” is a British sitcom that aired from 1986 to 1987, and is the second season of the “Blackadder” series. The show was created by Rowan Atkinson and Richard Curtis and follows the adventures of the cunning and conniving Edmund Blackadder, who is now a member of the court of Queen Elizabeth I.

The series stars Rowan Atkinson as Blackadder, and Tony Robinson as his hapless servant, Baldrick. The supporting cast includes Miranda Richardson as Queen Elizabeth I, Stephen Fry as her courtier Lord Melchett, and Tim McInnerny as the foppish Lord Percy Percy.

Each episode of “Blackadder II” follows Blackadder as he tries to climb the social ladder and gain favor with the queen, often using his wit and manipulation skills to get what he wants.
