Airwolf was an American action-adventure television series that aired from 1984 to 1987. It was created by Donald P. Bellisario and starred Jan-Michael Vincent as the lead character Stringfellow Hawke, a helicopter pilot who flies a technologically advanced military helicopter called Airwolf.

The show follows Hawke and his crew as they embark on various missions, often involving espionage and covert operations, while also dealing with personal challenges and conflicts. Alongside Vincent, the show also starred Ernest Borgnine as Hawke’s mentor and co-pilot, Dominic Santini, and Alex Cord as Hawke’s long-lost brother, St. John.

Airwolf was known for its high-octane action sequences and advanced special effects, particularly in its portrayal of the titular helicopter, which was equipped with advanced weapons and stealth technology. The show also featured a distinctive and memorable theme tune composed by Sylvester Levay.

Despite its popularity during its original run, Airwolf only ran for three seasons before being canceled due to declining ratings and high production costs. However, it remains a cult classic among fans of 1980s action television and has been referenced and parodied in various other media.
