The Hawks compete in the National Basketball Association (NBA) as a member club of the league’s Eastern Conference Southeast Division. The team was founded in 1946 as the Buffalo Bisons, and it has since been located in Tri-Cities, Milwaukee, St. Louis, and finally, Atlanta. The Hawks won their first NBA championship in 1958 and have produced numerous All-Stars such as Dominique Wilkins, Joe Johnson, and Trae Young. The team’s colors are red, white, and volt green, and its logo features a hawk with its wings spread. The team plays its home games at State Farm Arena in downtown Atlanta.
