The characters were created by Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird in 1984 and have since become a pop culture phenomenon. The turtles live in the sewers of New York City and are trained in martial arts by their rat sensei, Master Splinter. Each turtle has a distinct personality and weapon, with Leonardo using twin katanas, Donatello using a bo staff, Michelangelo using nunchucks, and Raphael using sais. The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles have appeared in numerous comic books, cartoons, movies, and video games, and have become known for their catchphrases, such as “Cowabunga!” and “Heroes in a Half-Shell!” The franchise has spawned various merchandise, including action figures, clothing, and toys.
