The Detroit Pistons are a professional basketball team based in Detroit, Michigan. They play in the Eastern Conference of the National Basketball Association (NBA). The team was founded in 1941 as the Fort Wayne (Indiana) Zollner Pistons, and they moved to Detroit in 1957. The Pistons have won three NBA championships, in 1989, 1990, and 2004. They have also won six conference championships and eight division championships. Some of the greatest players in Pistons history include Isiah Thomas, Bill Laimbeer, Joe Dumars, and Ben Wallace. The Pistons play their home games at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit.
